One feature is a LCD touch padand status speaker that allows you to see and hear any messages displayed on the keypad. Sensors to monitor motion, heat, smoke and carbon monoxide are also available to add extra protection to your home.
For a $100 more you can upgrade to the Simon 3, which gives you the option of using a monitoring system, having it call your cell phone or both. Another feature is that you can use the Simon 3 to program appliances, such as a television, and lights to turn on and off at specific times, which is a great feature when you may be away for extended periods of time. With 6 separate programmable security codes each member of the family can have his or her own personal code.
